I have presented three special programmes for BBC 5 Live with Helen Zaltzman.
On August Bank Holiday 2012, we hosted a live, three-hour showcase of alternative radio and our favourite podcasts, Helen and Olly's Required Listening. The show went out from 1-4pm and was produced by Trevor Dann's Company and 2ZY Productions.
The coolest thing was we got to interview some of our very favourite podcasters, including Betty In The Sky With A Suitcase, Roman Mars of 99% Invisible, Dave Pickering of Getting Better Acquainted, and the chaps from Flaps:
Back in 2009, we became the UK’s first podcasters to be given a national radio show when 5 Live commissioned Web 2009 with Helen and Olly, a look back over the year online. The show was a 90 minute special which went out on New Year's Eve and was produced by Somethin Else. Here are a couple of clips:
This show was followed up by a further 90-minute special in July 2010, Web 2010 with Helen and Olly, in which our guests included Jon Ronson and Trinny Woodall.
Then, from September 2010 - December 2013, we became weekly panelists on Saturday Edition.
Each episode, we'd join presenter Chris Warburton to race through the week's biggest social media stories, from Google's product launches and hashtags causing controversy on Twitter to Facebook's rollercoaster share prices and the 'weblebrities' who storming to success on YouTube.
The spin-off podcast, Let's Talk About Tech, went straight to the top of the iTunes charts. Here are some clips:
